The driver and passenger of the second vehicle involved in the crash sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at Butler County Health Care Center following the incident. The passenger of their vehicle sustained serious injuries and was air-lifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the first vehicle involved was killed in the impact and pronounced dead at the scene.

The other vehicle involved was heading south on Highway 15 at the time, and struck the first vehicle.
